Fairleigh Dickinson University is licensed by the state of New Jersey and is authorized to offer degree programs at the associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Our education programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

Business programs offered by Fairleigh Dickinson University through the Silberman College of Business have also received the prestigious Business Accreditation from AACSB International.

State Authorization Status for Distance Learning Programs

FDU distance learning programs are authorized through the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) for all states with the exception of California. However, students from California may enroll in any FDU distance learning program. Under current law, Fairleigh Dickinson University is not required to seek formal approval to offer fully online distance learning programs, including those that include internships or practicums.
